Conversation with Miho Kim about feminist politics in Korea and the Korean diaspora

Miho Kim is a Zainichi activist with Eclipse Rising and the Comfort Women Justice Coalition based in San Francisco. She led fundraising efforts for the earthquake and tsunami victims in March 2011, establishing Japan Multicultural Relief Fund to aid underserved minority communities that were overlooked by mainstream relief efforts, including Zainichi Korean schools, former comfort women, migrant workers, single mothers, and children and adults with special needs.

Ju Hui Judy Han is a cultural geographer and Assistant Professor in Gender Studies at UCLA, where she teaches classes on gender and sexuality, Korean studies, (im)mobilities, and comics. Her research and publications concern conservative religious formations, queer activism, and protest cultures. Judy grew up in Seoul and has lived and worked in Los Angeles, Berkeley/Oakland, Vancouver, and Toronto.
