The course is an introduction to key issues in contemporary feminist politics in South Korea and the Korean diaspora, presented through a series of conversations with social justice activists and filmmakers who are working to create change in South Korea and the United States. Students enrolled in the class have access to the full syllabus as well as access to additional lectures and discussions, students-only course blog, and Slack workspace. The class is working together in various ways to coordinate and facilitate these public conversations.
Free and open to the public. Please register on Eventbrite to receive the Zoom webinar link.
All conversations will be in English and start at 3:45pm PDT except when noted otherwise. For conversations in Korean, we will offer simultaneous Korean to English interpretations through live closed captions.
